This deviation caught my eye because of the unusual framing. I adore the portrait that is in the center of this work, the soft colors and the model's closed eyes convey quite a pensive, nearly meditative mood. It should also be noted, that the model is very beautiful, and the feathers on her head only add to that beauty. An perfect portait in my eyes! I think, however, that the framing really distracts from that beautiful shot and makes it confusing, disturbs the harmony of the actual shot. That aside, I can only repeat that I love what you did with the actual photograph. Keep up the great work!
I think the most interesting part of this picture is that the atmosphere fits perfectly with the expression of the model. I really like this balance and the framing just adds some useful contrast. It's lovely how the subject seems to be fading into a dream, or a memory, or imagination - which is a good mixture of the two. Great job! (:
(One last thing - may I ask you how you reached this awesome peachy/pink effect? )
This photos is amazing! The tones, the atmosphere and the facial expression are wonderful together. Anyhow i have to think of "Pride & Prejudice". The surrounding by the two parts of another photo, makes the photo complete, it adds more emotion and atmosphere.
Wow, this is incredible! ... Kind of has a feeling of Swan Lake I love her expression... at first I found her eye lid that is not so relaxed bothering, but after a while I think it really fits to the rest, because her eyelashes and those little wrinkles on her eyelid look like a feather.
Really a beautiful emotive portrait. I love the border, the soft colors, and the serene expression you captured on the model's face. It all works really well to create a lovely image, full of imagination. The depth of field is beautiful, the blurred background is perfect, and really makes the model the main focal point of the image. Overall I think this is a great portrait, I dont have much to suggest, other than perhaps not cutting off part of the model's head especially so close to the feathers, it just seems too close to the border. Other thank that small suggestion, I think it's a lovely piece that has be executed well. Great work!
I really like the way you've created the border there... I think it's fantastic how it complements the colours and atmosphere of the main shot there... makes me think of a movie, actually, but eh.
The colours work together effectively to portray the mood. I feel as if it's quite fitting of the person's expression as well. The depth of field is wonderful in offsetting her face more and the framing isn't too bad... You could have moved the camera more to the left a bit, but it's pretty well executed all in all.
It could be less intense, tone wise, but it's a brilliant shot as it is here.
